The interview process, round by round

How to prepare

• Ask early which track you are being considered for. Candidates commonly report that applications and infrastructure roles are interviewed by completely different panels with completely different question banks, and preparing for the wrong one is the most avoidable failure here.
• If you are anywhere near an infrastructure, network or service desk role, revise the basics properly: OSI, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory and a handful of Linux and Windows troubleshooting steps. These come up far more than data structures on those accounts.
• Practise sectional aptitude under a timer. Reported sectional cut-offs mean a strong quantitative score cannot compensate for a weak verbal section.
